The problem we are addressing is that even with growing concerns about climate change, people either still lack the knowledge about recycling, or the motivation to do so.

Our solution is an application that makes use of a machine learning based algorithm for material recognition. This app will give the user instructions on how to sort their waste based on the sorting system applied in their current country. The user will be able to get detailed statistics about their recycling habits to allow them to improve their recycling habits.
