UT Challenge
The fourth edition of the UT Challenge is in full swing and you never seem to stop surprising us! Not only because of the quality of your projects and the enthusiasm with you as a person. Your involvement at the, because of the current situation adjusted, (online) events is high! Something we want to thank you for.
The Kick-off Event at the new ‘Incubase’ from Novel-T was very busy. And a lot of the participants took the chance to pitch for the first time in front of all of our partners. A lot of participants entered the online Speed Dating Event with a lot of enthusiasm and without any big issues. It was our first ever ‘big’ online event and we are proud that it worked it like it did. Because we aim to have a big offline finale, it will take place after the summer. In the meantime, we are going to work on the content of the top 40 projects and everyone’s personal skills.
Top 40
During the recruitment weeks 361 students of University of Twente signed up with 204 projects. We started the UT Challenge with 80 projects in the first round. Their quality already set the bar high from the start. After this phase our 20 coaching partners, with 59 coaches in total, invested time and effort to help reach the next level for all projects.
Our partners provided feedback to all projects participating in the Speed Dating Event and gave extra coaching online. Online chatting with partners is still possible in the next period and we would like to encourage making use of that! Together with our partners we, last Friday, selected a strong top 40. This selection was, due to the high quality, definitely not easy.
We want to congratulate everyone and wish you good luck in the upcoming period. Participants who do not see their project selected for the top 40 can still enter workshops and chat with our partners. Your projects can still grow out into something better. We hope to see you all in the next UT Challenge and want to thank everyone for the last couple of months.
